How To Get Help
WE'RE SORRY! NOT ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS AT THIS TIME!
How do I apply?
To receive a link to our online application, please email us at: info@pinkdaisyproject.com. As part of our application process, you’re required to submit verification from an oncologist that includes proof of age, diagnosis, and date of diagnosis.
Please be sure to follow the directions on the application carefully when sending in your medical verification. Verification must be on hospital or clinic letterhead with your doctor's original signature. We cannot accept photocopies, scans, emails or faxes.
Once approved, we can’t guarantee assistance because our support is based on available funding.
Do I qualify?
The Pink Daisy Project provides short term assistance for women under 45 who are within three months of breast cancer treatment or reconstruction due to breast cancer. Although we’re based out of a Seattle suburb, we help women all across the country.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to assist with bills, rent, insurance, co-pays, etc. However, we can help you offset your budget by offering gift cards for groceries, restaurants and gas.
Why do you only help women under 45?
Younger women have the additional burden of caring for young children. Because they don’t get mammograms yet, their cancer is often more aggressive and/or advanced. Life can be stressful and chaotic when mom has to work, take care of small kids, and focus on her treatment all at the same time. Additionally, women under 45 find it extremely difficult to qualify for social security and they’re not old enough to get Medicare. Women in this age group are an overlooked segment of a society that hasn’t provided options for young people with a serious illness.
